Mutant Bug Project (Luminario)

The “Mutant Bug Project” is the daytime activity within the Luminario tent at the St. Louis Art Fair (2002). Art fair goers, particularly families with children, came to the tent to create artworks featuring insects. Markers, paper, ink pads and rubber stamps were provided. The rubber stamps were original creations by the artists, using photographic scans of insects as well as hand-carved images.

At night, the illuminated gallery displayed any mutant bug art that had been donated to the tent.
